Cape Town Pride
Pride provides a platform for every member and alliance of Cape Town’s LGBTQI+ community to celebrate and raise awareness of LGBTQI+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow them to live their lives on a genuinely equal footing.
The City of Cape Town proudly supports the LGBTQI+ Community.
Upper Bree Dining
The street dining in Upper Bree took place on the 21 March 2022. This event had a Family day flair to it with activities for both parents and kids. As a boost to the local economy, local vendors sold their merchandise to attendees and the crowd were entertained by some of Cape Town very best local talent on 2 stages. This event, in line with the one of the Major’s priority areas, focussed on revitalising the inner city after the devastating Covid pandemic
NRCS Event
On 24 March 2022, National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications hosted the Parliamentary oversight committee on Environmental Affairs at the Destruction site in Cape Town for feedback on their delivery.
The NRCS’s mandate includes promoting public health and safety, environmental protection and ensuring fair trade.
My Cape Town Market
An annual event which focuses on boosting the local economy within Cape town. This is an event that not only gives local businesses to come out and set up their stalls and sell their goods but also for community members to come and support these business.
The event is also complimented with entertainment and different activities for kids and adults.
This year House of Kreationz hosted all the artist and VIP guests.
